This is an event organized by Sam Houston Area Council. There will be online opportunities to talk to other scouts around the world starting on Friday evening October 16th.  On Saturday, SHAC have the below activities on offer. Typically the scouts have made their own way there with their parent, but this info might change.

Please check your Scouting America national membership expiration date. If it expires at the end of the month, renew it to avoid being dropped from the roster. You can do this via the my.scouting.org website.

If you are a Scout or adult leader attending the September campout at Strake, please watch for an email with detailed instructions that will be sent to all attendees within the next week on how to prepare, what to bring, and what to expect.

Please plan to post the flags before Labor Day and collect them after 9/11. Ensure all data is accurate in the customer database, and all financial transactions are settled with the troop, as Mr. Daniel will release the funds in the new website scout accounts soon.

Saturday, September 5th: Swimming and snorkeling practice has been moved from AM to PM to ensure scouts can do popcorn sales during the day.
